Liam’s expertise and engaging teaching style make him a favorite among students, whether he's demonstrating low & slow techniques, grilling, or perfecting the art of the ultimate burger. His love for barbecue is also showcased on his successful YouTube channel - Barker's Barbecue, where he shares tips, recipes, and other essentials to help lift your BBQ game.

Craig Fraser is a seasoned BBQ competitor and passionate pitmaster with an impressive track record in the Australian and international BBQ scene.


Since 2016, Craig has been a driving force behind his competition team, Smokin’ It Up BBQ, racking up an enviable list of accolades, including four Grand Champion titles, three Reserve Grand Champion titles, and the prestigious 2022 KCBS Australasian Team of the Year award. His expertise in brisket is brilliant, earning him the #1 Brisket title in 2022.


Craig’s dedication to BBQ has taken him across Australia, competing in Melbourne and Adelaide, as well as on the world stage at The American Royal World Championship in Kansas City.


Specializing in Low & Slow and Hot & Fast techniques, he is equally adept at working the grill. A well-respected figure in the Perth BBQ community, Craig is known for his enthusiasm, knowledge, and ability to connect with people.


Now bringing his passion to Hot Things BBQ School, Craig is eager to share his experience with fellow BBQ lovers, helping them refine their skills and master the art of live-fire cooking.

Pitmaster Stephen Adams

Stephen Adams, has turned his passion for barbecue into a thriving journey of competition, community, and education. What began as a love for outdoor cooking and entertaining quickly evolved into a deep dive into the world of competition BBQ.


Five years ago, Stephen took his first barbecue class—just like many of his students today—before stepping up to the KCBS-sanctioned Master Series. Since then, his team has become a dominant force in the competition scene, earning multiple first and second-place awards across all protein categories. The pinnacle of their success came in October 2022, when they were crowned Reserve Grand Champions at Brew N Que.


A respected figure in the West Australian BBQ scene, Stephen is all about sharing the love of barbecue, fostering a strong BBQ community, and helping others master the craft. Whether it's low & slow smoking or grilling up a feast, his experience, knowledge, and passion make him an invaluable teacher for those looking to take their skills to the next level.
